Maria Menounos opens up about being molested by a doctor
Maria Menounos opened up to shock jock Howard Stern about being molested by a doctor when she was younger.
The "Dancing With The Stars" finalist said that she has a fear of doctors because when she was "really young," she visited a male doctor for throat problems and he asked her to change into a hospital gown and touched her genitals.
"I was so uncomfortable," she told Stern. "[My boyfriend] Kevin was in the waiting room and I literally started screaming... I was just so uncomfortable I didn't know what to do."
The host also said she was uncomfortable when a male gynecologist touched her navel ring during an examination and told her it was "hot." Menounos said that she never reported the incidents or took steps to press charges, but she now brings her boyfriend Kevin Undergaro into the exam room.
She also opened up about her boyfriend of 13 years, Kevin Undergaro, who was her college sweetheart. She told Stern that he was her second sexual partner and that she has kept the relationship private in order to avoid tabloid attention.
Menounos, who is known for hosting the entertainment news show "Extra" with "Dancing With The Stars" alum Mario Lopez, was on the Sirius radio show to promote her book, "The EveryGirl's Guide to Life," which was released on April 12. In the book, she offers her systems to organize life, manage time and talked about how she lost 40 pounds.
Menounos and her "Dancing With The Stars" partner Derek Hough were beat out by Donald Driver and his partner Peta Murgatroyd in the reality dancing competition series.
