Madonna dresses up in 'Game Of Thrones' costume for Purim (Photo)
Madonna is no stranger to elaborate costumes and outfits, so it's only fitting the singer donned a "Games of Thrones" outfit for a special holiday.
In a series of photos posted on her official Instagram account, Madonna, 55, is seen dressed in an outfit similar to that of Emilia Clarke's character, Khaleesi, on the popular HBO series.
"Happy Purim!!!!! All Hail All Queens! ##certainty," Madonna wrote in her Instagram photo captain.
The singer was celebrating the Jewish holiday Purim, in which people dress up in costumes to celebrate the salvation of the Jews from genocide in ancient Persia, as told in the Book of Esther in the Bible. Madonna practices Kabbalah, or Jewish Mysticism.
In another photo posted on Instagram, Madonna is seen with a guest wearing a Jesus mask over his face (see below). She writes, "I've got a friend in Jesus! #revolutionoflove."
Madonna's "Game of Thrones" photos are far less controversial than ones the singer shared in January 2014. She came under fire for posting a photo of her 13-year-old son and friends holding liquor bottles while on vacation in the Swiss Alps.
