Macaulay Culkin 'is in perfectly good health,' rep says, after photo shows him looking thin
Macaulay Culkin has sparked concern - and jokes - after a photo of him appearing thinner than usual was posted online, but the actor's rep assures fans that the "Home Alone" star is not ill.
"Macaulay Culkin is in perfectly good health," his spokesperson told OnTheRedCarpet.com on Thursday, February 9.
The websites of the television show "Entertainment Tonight" and of the UK newspaper The Sun are among the outlets that published the photo, which is owned by the paparazzi agency INF and was taken in New York on Wednesday. The 31-year-old former child star, who has usually appeared trim, showcases defined cheekbones and sports a goatee.
"I'm thinking Macaulay Culkin needs a lovely cheese pizza, just for himself," Los Angeles sports journalist Dan Rubenstein Tweeted, referencing a quote from "Home Alone."
British musician Tim Doble wrote on his Twitter page: "Looks like Macaulay Culkin was Home Alone for a bit too long. They forgot to leave him food before they left."
Culkin has in recent years appeared on the television series "Kings" and voiced characters on the animated show "Robot Chicken" but is perhaps best known for his role as Kevin McAllister in the "Home Alone" comedy films. He played a child who battles two burglars in his home and in New York City after his family flies away on vacation without him by mistake.
He also appeared in movies such as "Uncle Buck," "My Girl" and "The Good Son" and in his friend Michael Jackson video for "Black and White," which was released in 1991. (See which other celebrities have also appeared in music videos).
