Last year, unconfirmed reports said Fox was being considered for the role in a movie remake. A series about the iconic DC comics superhero is currently under development.

When asked about it, the 23-year actress, whose fame was increasing at the time due to her role in the Transformers film franchise, told the UK newspaper The Times she had no intention of playing Wonder Woman.

"Wonder Woman is a lame superhero," Fox said. "She flies around in her invisible jet and her weaponry is a lasso that makes you tell the truth. I just don't get it. Somebody has a big challenge on their hands whoever takes that role but I dont want to do it."

When asked if Fox should play Wonder Woman in a new series that is currently being developed by Ally McBeal producer David E. Kelly, Carter, 59, told Fox News: "Megan Fox actually kind of trashed Wonder Woman. I like her, I just thought she shouldn't trash Wonder Woman."

"I spoke to him several weeks ago and he is perfect for it because he will really give the characters life," Carter said about the new series. "It's not just going to be a cartoon or a comic book thing, which is really what I think we tried to do."

It is unclear if Carter will appear on the new show. Fox, who will not appear in Transformers 3 following a dispute with its studio and reportedly also with director Michael Bay, has not commented on the actress' remarks.

Meanwhile, Carter is set to perform several concerts at Feinstein's at Loews Regency in New York through November 13, Playbill.com reported. The actress played Matron "Mama" Morton in the London company of Chicago and has been singing since she was 14 years old. She sang two songs in the 1979 Wonder Woman episode, "Amazon Hot Wax."
