'Little Fockers' stays on top New Year's weekend with $26.3M
Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller's "Little Fockers" stayed at the top of the weekend box office with $26.3 million.
"True Grit," starring Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon, came in second for the second weekend in a row with $24.5 milllion, raising its box office total to $86.8 million and making it the top-grossing film for directors Joel and Ethan Coen. Their previous best film was ""No Country for Old Men," which earned $74.3 million.
The third installment of the 'Fockers' flims, released by Universal, has a domestic total of $103.2 million.
Disney's sci-fi sequel "Tron: Legacy" came in at No. 3 with $18.3 million, while Dan Aykroyd's family movie"Yogi Bear," from Warner Bros., was fourth with $13 million.
"The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader," finishes off the top five with $10.5 million.
Hollywood is off to a slow 2011 start. According to box office tracker Hollywood.com, overall revenues came in at $158 million, which is down 28 percent from the same weekend a year ago.
