Lisa Ling talks about miscarriage on 'The View' (Video)
Lisa Ling, a television journalist and former co-host of ABC morning talk show "The View", says she suffered a miscarriage six months ago after being about two months pregnant.
The 37-year-old, who is married to oncologist Paul Song, made her comments on the program in an interview set to air on Friday.
"I just felt like such an incredible failure and I felt so alone when it happened," Ling said. "I wasn't ready to tell any of my friends about it. I jumped online, I started pouring through blogs. Once I did start talking to friends, I realized that it's so pervasive. Almost every one of my friends has had one at one time or another but nobody talks about it."
Ling, who has no other children, praised the "courage" of E! host Giuliana Rancic, who spoke about her own miscarriage on "The View" in October.
