Lindsay Lohan grazes man's knee with her car in Hollywood
Lindsay Lohan grazed a man's knee with her Porsche in Hollywood early Wednesday morning, Los Angeles police told OnTheRedCarpet.com.
Police had originally said that Lohan was involved in a "fender bender" with another vehicle at a parking lot. They later said that wasn't the case and that Lohan struck a man's leg shortly after midnight while trying to maneuver her way out of a parking spot outside the Hookah Lounge.
The man works at the lounge, according to authorities. Police said they did not find any evidence of injury and the man didn't want to file a report - at the time.
TMZ reported around 6:00 a.m. that the man who Lohan struck had gone to the emergency room and could potentially press charges. Cops told TMZ they were going to open a hit-and-run investigation if the manager filed a report.
According to TMZ, at the time of the incident the 26-year-old man didn't know who Lohan was, and told paparazzi on scene and police that he didn't need medical attention. They added that he was told that the driver was Lohan, but he said he wasn't from this country and didn't know who she was. A short time later, TMZ was told he began complaining that he was injured.
The 25-year-old troubled actress is trying to make a comeback and mend her public image. She has been on probation since she was convicted of drunken driving and cocaine possession in 2007. Lohan has completed five stints in jail and was ordered to complete 480 hours of community service at a women's shelter and at a morgue as part of a sentence handed down for a misdemeanor theft charge, which had in itself constituted a violation of her probation.
Lohan has been doing well with her probation, receiving positive progress reports during her last few court appearances.
The actress recently said in a TV interview that she's now "clean and sober." She said going out on the Hollywood scene isn't fun for her anymore.
