Lindsay Lohan gets 3rd good probation report, is 'in the homestretch'
Lindsay Lohan received another glowing report about her probation on Wednesday, February 22, after more than four years of legal turmoil.
The judge told the 25-year-old actress on Wednesday that she has fulfilled her community service and counseling requirements so far and that if she continues her progress, the supervised probation time that was handed down for a 2007 drunk driving and cocaine possession case "will go bye-bye."
"Miss Lohan, You're in the homestretch," Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner said. "The probation offer is pleased with your progress." (Check out full details from Lindsay Lohan's probation report below)
Lohan, who appeared in court wearing an Acne dress and Roland Mouret trench coat, has been on probation since her 2007 conviction and served five stints in jail since then. Her most recent one, in November, lasted mere hours. Some were ordered as part of sentences given for violating her probation, which was subsequently extended several times since then.
Last year, Lohan was ordered to complete 480 hours of community service at a women's shelter and at a morgue and told to undergo psychological counseling as part of a sentence handed down for a separate misdemeanor theft charge, which had in itself constituted a violation of her probation.
In November, Lohan was ordered to complete her requirements in increments. Wednesday's hearing marked the third consecutive time she has received a glowing review. She last appeared in court in January.
The judge said the actress must return on March 29 and must completed 14 more community service sessions and five more therapy sessions by then. If she does, she will only be on non-reporting probation, which allows her more freedom.
"After March 29, all you have to do is obey all laws," she told Lohan. "Stay out of trouble and move on with your life."
The judge also told Lohan that for now, she is allowed to travel outside of California, where she lives, for work only and must tell her probation officer beforehand. Lohan is set to host "Saturday Night Live" on March 3. The show is taped in New York City and rehearsals typically take place during the week before the episode.
Lohan's acting career has stalled amid her turmoil. The former child star, who became even more famous with the 2004 movie "Mean Girls," last year posed naked for Playboy magazine for the first time. She channels late sex icon Marilyn Monroe in the photos.
Lohan is also expected to take on the role in another Hollywood legend, Elizabeth Taylor, in a Lifetime movie. A source close to the matter confirmed to OnTheRedCarpet.com that early discussions about the matter have been carried out. No air date has been set for the film and no other actors have been named as potential cast members.
