Lindsay Lohan cancels '20/20' interview with Barbara Walters

Lindsay Lohan has backed out of a '20/20' interview with Barbara Walters, which was scheduled to air on November 16.

Lohan's new Public Relations representatives, Rogers & Cowan confirmed to Deadline that the 26-year-old actress would no longer be doing the candid interview.

The "20/20" appearance was touted to be a "no holds barred, no questions off-limits" interview with Walters, to promote Lohan's upcoming Lifetime movie, "Liz & Dick," based on Elizabeth Taylor's life in which she stars as Taylor. A source told Deadline that Lohan's new representation did not want her discussing her recent legal and personal issues.

Lohan's publicist of one and a half years, Steve Honig, resigned from his position on October 25. A few days earlier, it was revealed that the actress would not face charges for an alleged hit-and-run incident which occurred in September.

Lohan has had a several legal woes over the past few years. In March, a judge ruled that Lohan has fulfilled all her probation requirements stemming from a 2007 DUI and cocaine possession case, which had stalled her acting career. She has served five stints in jail.

Lohan is working on her return to acting and recently wrapped Lifetime's "Liz & Dick" and an indie film called "The Canyons," based on a script by "American Psycho" author Bret Easton Ellis.
