Lindsay Lohan calls car 'scrape' report a 'complete lie'
Lindsay Lohan has denied a claim by Los Angeles police, who said that she grazed a man's knee with her Porsche in Hollywood early on Wednesday.
"Scrape? This is all a complete lie," she said in a message posted on her Whosay account later in the day. "I've been at community service. Last night, I attempted to wish a friend happy birthday, which I didn't even get to do because I was freaked out by all of the paparazzi. These false accusations are absurd."
A police spokesperson told onTheRedCarpet.com that Lohan's car grazed a man's leg shortly after midnight as the actress tried to maneuver her way out of a parking spot outside the Hookah Lounge. Police did not find any evidence of injury and the man did not want to file a report, the rep added.
The 25-year-old troubled actress is trying to make a comeback and mend her public image. She has been on probation since she was convicted of drunk driving and cocaine possession in 2007.
Lohan has completed five stints in jail and was ordered to complete 480 hours of community service at a women's shelter and at a morgue as part of a sentence handed down for a misdemeanor theft charge, which had in itself constituted a violation of her probation.
Lohan has been doing well with her probation, receiving positive progress reports during her last few court appearances.
The actress recently said in a TV interview that she's now "clean and sober." She said going out on the Hollywood scene isn't fun for her anymore.
