Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen to star in 'Scary Movie 5,' report says
Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen are reportedly close to inking deals to star in the comedy sequel "Scary Movie 5."
According to E! News, Lohan has nearly signed on to star in the reboot, which starred Anna Faris in the first four films of the horror spoof franchise.
Lohan's rep told the entertainment outlet that the actress had not inked a deal "as of right this moment," but film insiders seemed confident that she was on-board.
According to the films' IMDB page, "Scary Movie 5" will be an homage to "Black Swan" and other films and follows two dancers - Jody and Kendra who are vying for the lead in a new production, put on by the oversexed dance company director, Pierre. Meanwhile, the veteran dancer in the company gets cut from the production and goes crazy.
Ashley Tisdale signed on for the role of Jody, The Weinstein Company announced earlier this month.
Sources also told E! News that Charlie Sheen was slated to appear in the sequel, despite being killed off in "Scary Movie 4." The studio has not confirmed his rumored appearance in the film.
"Scary Movie 5" is aiming to start filming on September 3 and is slated for release on April 19, 2013. The last installment of the franchise was released in 2006.
Last month, Lohan wrapped her upcoming Lifetime movie, "Liz & Dick," which follows the romance between Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton. She portrayed the Hollywood legend opposite "GCB" actor Grant Bowler.
Lohan will next appear in an adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis' "The Canyons" opposite 26-year-old porn actor James Deen. The actress has been filming the sexy drama since July 9.
Deen, who is the youngest person ever to win porn's "Male Performer of the Year," recently denied rumors that he was romantically involved with his new co-star.
"I can definitely honestly say Lindsay Lohan and I are not having sex! [If we were] I think I would tell everybody," Deen told Animal New York. "I don't know anything about her except for that she's a really nice, down-to-earth, normal twenty-five-year-old girl. We went to a business dinner and she was very professional. She drank coffee and water. Then she had to call for a car because she couldn't walk ten feet from the door because of the paparazzi."
