Liam Neeson to reprise Qui-Gon Jinn role on 'Star Wars: The Clone Wars'
Liam Neeson will be lending his voice to the "Star Wars" franchise once again. The "Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace" actor who played Jedi master Qui-Gon Jinn will voice the character in upcoming episodes of the animated series "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" on January 28 and February 11.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Qui-Gon will appear to Obi-Wan Kenobi in visions as part of a three-part arc about Anakin Skywalker's destiny.
So why did Neeson, who has had a string of box office hits since his days of donning the robe as a Jedi master, agree to reprise the role on the animated show? The actor tells the magazine, "Growing up, my heroes were cowboys; they were strong and mysterious, and it seemed like they always rode off into the sunset. For kids today, 'Star Wars' has that same kind of magic. I really wanted to be a part of that."
The show, which airs Fridays at 8:30 p.m. on Cartoon Network, has had a few other celebrities guest star on the series including, Seth Green, Ron Perlman, Jon Favreau, and George Takei.
