Leslie Bibb told OnTheRedCarpet.com that while co-star Annie Potts plays her mother on screen, their chemistry hit a little close to home.

"It's a fun dynamic, right?" Bibb told OnTheRedCarpet.com in the February 5 interview. "It's like you want to kill your mother, I mean I want to kill my own mother - and then I love her so much, and then she drives me crazy - and then I hug her to death. I think that's what we have on the show, and it's so fun to play."

"GCB" is based on Kim Gatlin's 2008 book "Good Christian Bitches." Bibb, 37, plays Amanda Vaughn, a divorced mother and former high school "mean girl" who moves back to her old neighborhood in Dallas.

Her old high school frenemies, led by head "GCB" Carlene Cockburn, played by Kristin Chenoweth, remember how she used to mock them and appear to be hell-bent on ruining her reputation. Potts, 59, plays Vaughn's mother, Gigi.

During her interview, Bibbs exchanged playful banter with Potts, who said she "wouldn't have it" when it came to any attitude from the actress.

"Oh lord, Mama!" Bibb jokingly added.

"GCB" also stars Jennifer Aspen as Sharon Peacham, a woman who was a high school beauty but is now insecures and acts as Cockburn's lackey. Marisol Nichols plays gossip queen Heather Cruz and Miriam Shor portrays real estate agent Cricket Caruth-Reilly, whose husband Blake, played by Mark Deklin, is gay.

The on-air project was written by Robert Harling and produced by Darren Star of "Sex and the City" and "Melrose Place" fame.

The actress also played a snotty teen queen in the 1990s drama series "Popular." Potts played Janine Melnitz in the "Ghostbusters" films and also starred on shows such as "Designing Women" and voiced the character of "Bo Peep" in Disney's "Toy Story" movies.

Bibb is also known for her roles in films such as "Iron Man," which saw her play a Vanity Fair reporter who gets seduced by Tony Stark.

"GCB" is set to premiere on Sunday, March 4 at 10 p.m. ET. Will you watch? Vote in our poll below.
