Leonardo DiCaprio, McConaughey attend 'Wolf of Wall Street' premiere
Leonardo DiCaprio was joined by co-stars Matthew McConaughey, Jonah Hill and Margot Robbie at the New York premiere of Martin Scorsese's new film "The Wolf of Wall Street" on Tuesday.
DiCaprio, 39, was nominated for a 2014 Golden Globe for his performance in "The Wolf of Wall Street," which is based on a true story. He plays party-loving stockbroker Jordan Belfort, who was convicted of federal fraud crimes. The movie showcases the rise and fall of his career.
"The Wolf of Wall Street" hits theaters on Dec. 25 -- Christmas Day -- and is the fifth project by the Oscar-winning director to star DiCaprio. He also appeared in Scorsese's films "The Aviator," "Gangs of New York," "Shutter Island" and "The Departed."
It's been a huge gift to collaborate with him every time and this, in a lot of ways, I think, is our most experimental work," DiCaprio told the Associated Press at the premiere.
McConaughey portrays Belfort's boss and mentor, while Robbie plays DiCaprio's character's love interest, Naomi Lapaglia.
Hill plays fellow businessman Daniel Porush and Kyle Chandler of "Friday Night Lights" fame plays an FBI agent. The movie also stars Jon Bernthal, current star of TNT's "Mob City" and formerly of AMC's "The Walking Dead" as one of Belfort's associates, and Jean Dujardin, who won an Oscar for the 2011 movie "The Artist," as a shady Swiss banker.
