Lena Dunham is set to take her humor to the iconic "Saturday Night Live" stage.

Dunham also took to Twitter to express her excitement over her hosting duties, saying, "Thank you for the SNL love. Dream come true. Can't wait to debut my character 'girl who googled serial killers all night & has lots to say'!"

Dunham has starred on HBO's Emmy-nominated "Girls" since 2012. She also serves as the show's creator and has written several episodes over the course of three seasons. In 2013, Dunham won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy. The show also won Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy.
