Lea Michele wanted to have kids with Cory Monteith, talks song
Lea Michele reveals in a new interview that before her "Glee" co-star and real life boyfriend Cory Monteith died, the pair talked about possibly having children someday.
Michele appears on the cover of Glamour UK's April issue and told the magazine, "We talked about a lot of things. We talked about children and what we would look like when we grew old and who would be fat and how we would stay thin."
"We talked about where we wanted to go and what we wanted to do. We were done. We were it," she added. "When you're at that place in your life with someone, you talk about everything. But today I feel like I was given the best part of Cory and I'm thankful for that."
Michele also said that she is starting to make progress in getting over her grief of losing Monteith. The actor died on July 13 at the age of 31.
"At the start, it's hard because you're so physically and mentally shocked and damaged, but after a while you get tired of physically feeling so horrendous, so I started doing yoga, which really helped," she told the magazine. "Then gradually your mind catches up with your body. Now I feel a little bit more back together and I have this blank canvas in front of me, which is what my life can be."
The 27-year-old singer and actress recently released a new song from her upcoming debut solo album "Louder," which goes on sale on March 4. The song, titled "If You Say So," is about Monteith's last conversation with Michele. The track can be heard below. She talked about the single with Seventeen magazine recently.
"I have not talked about 'If You Say So' yet. It's about my last conversation that I had with him," she told the magazine recently. "I spoke to a woman who lost her son, and she mentioned how grateful she was that the last words she said to her son before he died were, 'I love you.' Mine were that as well."
"[The song] is just about that. There are lots of different emotions -- if you could see this person again, what are the things you would want to say to them? It's a personal story," she added.
