Lady Gaga underwent hip surgery to treat an injury that spurred her to cancel all remaining dates on her Born This Way tour, but wants to assure her little monsters that it's only a "bump in the road."

"Today I pledge 1 million dollars to New York & The American Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy Relief," the artist said on her official website. "If it wasn't for NYC: the Lower Eastside, Harlem, the Bronx and Brooklyn, I would not be the woman or artist that I am today."
Lady Gaga is hoping to encourage body acceptance with her new initiative, "The Body Revolution," following postings of unflattering photos of her in concert and a radio interview in which she said she has gained 25 pounds.
"Body Revolution 2013," she Tweeted on September 25 to her 29.7 million followers, with a link to a photo of her posing in only a bra and underwear (Photo above). The caption to the photograph reads, "Bulimia and anorexia since I was 15."
Lady Gaga, known for her outlandish outfits and racy wardrobe, talked to a syndicated morning radio show about her recent weight gain.
"I'm dieting right now, because I gained, like, 25 pounds," Gaga told radio host Elvis Duran on his show, according to Us Weekly magazine. "And you know I really don't feel bad about it, not even for a second. I have to be on such a strict diet constantly. It's hard because it's a quite vigorous show, so I tend to bulk up, get muscular, and I really don't like that. So I'm trying to find a new balance."
Lady Gaga smoked weed on stage in Amsterdam, Holland on September 17, during a stop on her Born This Way Ball tour.
The pop star sat at the front of the stage and asked the crowd if they were "having fun." She went to pull out a cigarette, but opted instead for a rolled marijuana joint which had been thrown on stage.
Lady Gaga hosted a launch event for the release of her fragrance "Fame," which she described as "slutty," in New York's Guggenheim Museum on September 13.
In typical Gaga fashion, the affair was far from ordinary. A number of celebrities turned out for the unique event, including Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and designer Michael Kors (Photos). Retired NFL star Michael Strahan of the ABC morning show "LIVE! With Kelly and Michael" was also in attendance, and described the event to the viewers.
Lady Gaga showed off a new hair to fans, but the new look has a deeper meaning for the singing star.
Gaga posted a photo to her LittleMonsters site showing her hair tied up in a bun and part of the back of her head shaved in a triangular shape.
