Lady Gaga reportedly set to perform at inaugural ball
Lady Gaga will be joining the likes of Beyonce and Katy Perry in Washington D.C. next week.
The pop star is reportedly set to perform at an inaugural ball for White House staffers on Tuesday, January 22, according to The Associated Press. The wire service quoted an unnamed source who spoke on condition of anonymity because the person wasn't authorized to publicly reveal the information.
The staff ball is typically a private affair. Jay-Z reportedly performed at it in 2008, the wire service reports, and sang a modified version of his hit "99 Problems but a [expletive] Ain't One" that was changed to "99 Problems but George Bush Ain't One."
Earlier this month it was announced that Beyonce will sing the national anthem at President Barack Obama's second inauguration ceremony on January 21. Other entertainers include Kelly Clarkson and James Taylor. Clarkson will perform "My Country 'Tis of Thee" and Taylor will perform "America the Beautiful."
Alicia Keys recently revealed that she will perform at three events during the inauguration.
Other stars set to perform during inauguration week include Perry, Stevie Wonder, Usher and Brad Paisley. The band fun. Will perform at the Kids' Inaugural Ball with Perry, Wonder, Keys, Usher, Smokey Robinson, Marc Anthony, Paisley, Nick Cannon and the cast of "Glee."
