Lady Gaga 'choked' and praised by Alice Cooper (Photo)
Lady Gaga is "a cut above all the other girls," says Alice Cooper, who appears in a recent photo that shows him pretending to choke the pop singer, who dons lingerie and fake blood.
"I just died and went to Hell," Lady Gaga, a Grammy winner who is known for her daring outfits and stage shows, said on her Twitter page alongside the picture, taken backstage at one of her concerts over the weekend.
Lady Gaga, who turned 25 on Monday, March 28, recently released her new song and music video "Born This Way," including a country version. She pretended to hatch out of an egg before performing the track at the 2011 Grammy Awards.
"She can sing, she writes her own songs," Cooper said in an interview posted on his website. "To me, she is a cut above all the other girls."
"I think with Lady Gaga, it was more the spectacle," he added. "You know, more of the idea that if you're gonna do it, do it. Don't just do it, do it. She took that to heart and became the Elton John/Liberace of that genre."
Cooper, a 63-year-old shock rocker known for hits songs such as "Poison" and "School's Out" and for his horror-themed concerts, recently posted Lady Gaga's photo on his own social networking pages.
In the picture, he pretends to squeeze the throat of the pop singer, who dons a black bra and panties, fishnet stockings and fake blood over her chest, arms and stomach.
"@ladygaga shows @realalicecooper that women really do bleed... #gagalovesalice," he later added, referencing the title of one of his songs.
Cooper and his band were recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The rocker plans to release a new album, "Welcome 2 My Nightmare," the follow-up to his first solo record, in 2012.
