Lady Gaga and the Muppets are teaming up for a holiday special called "Lady Gaga & The Muppets' Holiday Spectacular," ABC confirmed on Oct. 17.
The 90-minute special will air on Nov. 28, Thanksgiving night, at 9:30 p.m. ET and will include duets with Elton John, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, RuPaul and Kermit the Frog. Lady Gaga will also perform songs from her upcoming album, "ARTPOP."
"I was so excited when ABC called me about doing a holiday special this year," Lady Gaga said in a statement. "I knew it just wouldn't be a complete night of laughter and memories without The Muppets! Can't wait to see the gang again and I hope Miss Piggy's still not mad about Kermit. We're just friends!"
"What an incredible opportunity," Kermit the Frog said in a statement. "We have a long history with Ms. Gaga, so we jumped at the chance to do a holiday special with her. We won't even mind if she mistakes some of the Muppets for pieces of her wardrobe -- again."
Kristen Bell will also make an appearance on the show and Swedish Chef, Beaker and Animal will perform holiday classics like "Jingle Bells." The special will also include a snek peek of "Muppets Most Wanted," which hits theaters on March 21, 2014.
This is Lady Gaga's second Thanksgiving special for ABC. In 2011, she appeared in "A Very Gaga Thanksgiving," which featured the pop star performing a duet with Tony Bennett and visiting her former elementary school. Gaga executive produced and directed that special, which was watched by about 5.5 million people.
