Kristen Stewart's mom files for divorce
Kristen Stewart's mom reportedly filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences" from her husband of 27 years.
OTRC.com has confirmed that Jules Stewart filed for divorce from the "Twilight" actress' father John on August 17, in Los Angeles County Superior Court.
The divorce papers, which were obtained by TMZ, claim that the pair have been living apart since June 15, 2010.
Kristen Stewart has said in the past that she pursued acting after visiting her parents on movie sets, where her mother is a script supervisor and her father works as a stage manager and TV producer. Jules and John Stewart are also parents to son Cameron Stewart and adopted son Taylor.
The 22-year-old actress has not commented on reports of her parents' divorce. She has made headlines recently herself, after admitting that she cheated on Robert Pattinson with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders. Stewart released a press statement on July 25 and described it as a "momentary indiscretion."
"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected," Stewart had said at the time. "This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob [Pattinson]. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."
Stewart and Pattinson will presumably be forced to appear together to promote the final installment in the vampire series, "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2," which is slated for release on November 16, 2012.
Stewart will also appear in "On The Road," which is slated for release on December 21, 2012.
In the film, which is an adaptation of Jack Kerouac's classic beat novel of the same name, Stewart plays Marylou while Garett Hedlund stars as Dean Moriarty and Sam Riley plays Sal Paradise. The film also stars Kirsten Dunst, Viggo Mortensen, Elisabeth Moss, Amy Adams, Steve Buscemi and Terrance Howard.
