Kristen Stewart dons wild pants to the Cannes Film Festival (Poll)
Kristen Stewart donned a pair of patterned pants to a photo call for her upcoming movie, "On the Road" at the 65th international Cannes film festival on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old actress wore the bright yellow Balenciaga pants with multicolored floral designs and ankle zippers with simple black pumps, a white Juicy Couture tank top and a black Rebecca Minkoff jacket. In January, the "Twilight" star was named the face of Balenciaga, which is headed by designer Nicholas Ghesquière.
In the film, Stewart had her first nude scenes, several times over, but she said at a news conference for the film that it wasn't hard for her.
"I love pushing and I love scaring myself. To watch a genuine [sexual] experience onscreen is so much more interesting than when you see the tape holding up the pasties," Stewart told reporters at the conference, according to Vulture. "As long as you're being really honest, there's nothing ever to be ashamed of."
"On The Road" stars Garrett Hedlund as Dean Moriarty, Jack Kerouac's fictional version of his friend Neal Cassady, who married Marylou (Kristen Stewart) but left her for Camille (Kirsten Dunst). Sam Riley portrays Sal Paradise, the fictional version of Kerouac. The film also stars Tom Sturridge as Allen Ginsberg, Danny Morgan as poet Al Hinkle and Viggo Mortensen as Old Bull Lee or William S. Burroughs.
The film, which is slated to hit theaters later in the year, also features cameos from Amy Adams, Terence Howard and Steve Buscemi.
The actress had recently suffered a foot injury while reshooting final scenes for "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2." The movie is the fifth "Twilight" film and sees her character, Bella Swan, learning to cope with being a vampire. She sports red eyes in newly-released photos from the movie, which is set to hit theaters on June 2.
The actress can be seen first in "Snow White and the Huntsman" with Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron, who recently joked that she would "jump off a building" for Stewart. The movie is set for release on June 1.
