Kristen Stewart and Ben Affleck to get cozy in 'Focus' movie
Kristen Stewart is starting to build her post-"Twilight Saga" resume and the actress recently confirmed that she has taken on a role in an upcoming movie with Ben Affleck.
The film is titled "Focus" and Stewart confirmed to The Huffington Post on December 9 that she will star in the film. "It's a comedy. I'm really excited about it. We start shooting in April," she said.
The movie is about an inexperienced con artist (Stewart) who teams up with a more experienced one (Affleck), according to Deadline.com, which first reported that Stewart was in talks in November. The film will be written and directed by "Crazy, Stupid, Love," writer and directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa.
Before Stewart was officially on the project, Affleck was asked about her involvement by E! News on November 13.
"I'm hesitant to get into casting stuff because I don't know what's finished or isn't because people come in and out of things all the time," he told the site at the time. "But she's terrific and hopefully it will work out."
Stewart, who just finished a worldwide press tour for the final "Twilight Saga" film "Breaking Dawn - Part 2," will next appear on screen in the indie film "On The Road." The 20-year-old actress plays Marylou the 16-year-old love interest of the Dean Moriarty (played by Garrett Hedlund).
Sam Riley plays Sal Paradise and the film also stars Amy Adams, Kirsten Dunst, Elisabeth Moss and Viggo Mortensen. "On The Road" is adapted from the critically acclaimed beat novel of the same name by Jack Kerouac.
"On The Road" hits theaters on December 21 in the United States. Check out the trailer below.
