Zach Braff, partially inspired by the Kickstarter success of the upcoming "Veronica Mars" film, has launched his own Kickstarter campaign in hopes of raising enough money to finance his follow-up to "Garden State."
The former "Scrubs" star appears in a video, which can be seen below, where he speaks about the project, a film titled "Wish I Was Here." The movie was co-written by Braff and his brother Adam and Braff is seeking to raise $2 million for the film. "Veronica Mars" is a mom!
Kristen Bell, star of the defunt cult series that is poised to be made into a movie following a Kickstarter campaign, and longtime partner Dax Shepard, an actor on the show "Parenthood," have welcomed a baby girl named Lincoln. This is the first child for the pair, who got engaged more than three years ago and call each other "husband and wife" despite never announcing a wedding.
A long time ago (five years ago), they used to be friends and with the help of fans and a couple million dollars, Veronica Mars, Weevil and the rest of the gang may reunite ... on the big screen.
Rob Thomas, creator of the teen detective series "Veronica Mars," has launched a Kickstarter website to try to get fans to pledge $2 million to help make a movie based on the show, which generated a cult following. It starred Kristen Bell, who is now 32, and aired for three seasons on the networks UPN and the CW before it was canceled in 2007.
Actress Kristen Bell had a light hearted view of the weight she has gained during her first pregnancy.
During a radio interview with CBS Detroit's Stoney and Bill on Wednesday, December 12, the 32-year-old actress was a mystery guest and gave a hint to the hosts by saying, "I was once hottie of the week but I am currently quite a bit overweight." The interview can be heard below.
Kristen Bell stars alongside Don Cheadle in the new Showtime series "House of Lies" and says the series takes a deep look at big business and the current economic climate.
"You see law shows, you see medical shows but you don't often -- I've never seen a show that was so relevant in the current zeitgeist with, you know, Wall Street tumbling and all the Occupy movements, and I feel like dirty business is unraveling," she told OnTheRedCarpet.com at the show's premiere recently.
Dax Shepard found a clever way to spend time with fiancee Kristen Bell and friends in the entertainment industry despite their busy filming schedules -- he wrote a movie for them to star in.
The actor wrote and co-directed "Hit & Run" which stars himself and Bell as well as actor friends Bradley Cooper, Tom Arnold and his "Parenthood" co-star Joy Bryant.
Kristen Bell and her fiance Dax Shepard got a chance to work together recently on Shepard's film "Hit & Run" and not only did the couple enjoy the experience of being together on set every day, Bell also admitted she found Shepard to be cute as the film's director.
The couple hit the red carpet premiere of the film earlier this month and got cozy with each other during interviews. The two admitted they even gross themselves out with how loving they can be.
Kristen Bell and Broadway star Idina Menzel have been cast in Disney's next animated movie "Frozen," the network confirmed to OnTheRedCarpet.com.
In "Frozen," a kingdom is trapped in eternal winter and young dreamer named Anna (Kristen Bell) joins forces with Kristoff, a daring mountain man, in a journey to find Elsa the Snow Queen (Idina Menzel) and to put an end to the icy spell.
To celebrate the six year anniversary of Twitter, Jimmy Kimmel had celebrities read aloud some of the Tweets they've received on the micro blogging site.
"One of the interesting things about Twitter is that it connects celebrities to their fans and vice-versa," Kimmel said on his show on March 21. "Many celebrities actually do the Tweeting themselves which means pretty much any time you like, you can send a message to them, and unless it's someone like Justin Bieber who has 18 million followers, they will probably read it. Your message goes directly into their computer or into their pocket which can be good and it can also be bad."
Showtime has announced that "Shameless," "Californication" and "House of Lies" have been picked up for new seasons.
The shows, which vary greatly in subject matter, all have one thing in common: viewers love it. While Emmy Rossum stars in the raunchy and R-rated drama series "Shameless" and Don Cheadle stars in "House of Lies" as a corporate honcho, the shows are clearly a hit.
Kristen Bell revealed on her recent appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" set to air on January 31, that she had an overwhelming reaction to a birthday gift she got on her 31st birthday from fiance Dax Shepard.
Shepard surprised Bell with an unconventional gift: A sloth. Bell told DeGeneres, "My entire life had been waiting for this moment, where I would get to interact with a sloth."
