Kirstie Alley sent out a Tweet on Tuesday, November 6, to clarify some misconceptions the media might have gotten from a recent TV interview where she spoke about her relationship with the late actor Patrick Swayze. Alley told "Entertainment Tonight" that she and Swayze met at a table read for the 1985 miniseries "North and South" and although the two were married, they fell in love. "Both of us were married. We did not have an affair," Alley reportedly said. "But again, I think what I did was worse. Because I think when you fall in love with someone when you're married, you jeopardize your own marriage and their marriage. It's doubly bad." However, Alley wrote in a Tweet that she did not sleep with Swayze. "For the record: I did NOT have an 'affair' with my friend Patrick Swayze! In my book I tell our story," she wrote. "It did NOT include SEX.#gossip." The actress, who is currently competing on "Dancing With The Stars: All-Stars," is talking about her new book "The Art Of Men." At the time, Alley was married to Parker Stevenson. The couple divorced in 1997. Meanwhile, Swayze was married to Lisa Niemi. Swazye and Niemi remained married until the actor died in 2009 at age 57 after battling pancreatic cancer. Niemi recently revealed she has started dating again. In the "Entertainment Tonight" interview, Alley said she is friends with Niemi and she spoke at the Swayze's funeral. The actress also recently revealed that she was in love with another one of her co-stars -- John Travolta. Alley told Barbara Walters in an interview for "20/20" that there were sparks flying behind the scenes of the 1989 film, "Look Who's Talking." She told Walters that her co-star John Travolta was the "greatest love of my life" and nearly caused her to leave Stevenson.
