Kirstie Alley wants to lose 40 more pounds, touts diet program
Kirstie Alley says she wants to lose up to 40 more pounds, as she prepares to compete on "Dancing With the Stars."
The 60-year-old actress and former Jenny Craig diet spokesperson has struggled with her weight for years and poked fun about the issue on her own television shows. In recent months, she has dropped about 60 pounds.
"I want to lose at least 30 more, maybe 40," she told OnTheRedCarpet.com at the opening of her"Organic Liaison" health food store in Los Angeles on Wednesday, March 9.
Her "Organic Liaison" diet program touts organic food and drinks and a "Body Game Manual." Alley's friend, actress Kelly Preston, praised it and says its products "taste great."
"Guys really, really, lose weight fast on it," Alley said. "I had a trainer training me and I was losing three pounds a week and he was losing 12 pounds a week."
"I worked really hard with different scientists and different people to really find the key ingredients that were missing and how we could really help someone along and make it really easy and fun and good," she added.
Alley is currently rehearsing for "Dancing With the Stars" with partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy and has said she is already losing more weight. The 12th season is set to premiere on ABC on March 21 at 8 p.m. ET.
