Kirstie Alley says the weight is melting off preparing for 'Dancing With the Stars'
Kirtsie Alley announced on Twitter that she has already losing weight preparing for this season of "Dancing With the Stars."
The former Jenny Craig diet spokeswoman lost more than 50 pounds recently and admit that dancing forup to five hours a day has helped the weight to "melt off."
"Here's a tip for any weight-loss plan," Alley wrote on Twitter. "Dance 4 or 5 hours a day ...sorta starts melting off... But who has the time for that?... Oh.... I do."
The actress also referred to her Ukranian partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who she calls Maks, as her 'brother' and said that dancing was as addictive as heroin.
"Getting stronger and stronger every day ... and feeling more and more alive ... this dancing is good for the soul," the actress wrote on Twitter, "I'm ready to choke myself out!!! Everyone tells me I have more energy than they've ever seen... DANCE with Maks and I'm like a heroin addict."
Her partner, Chmerkovskiy also took to Twitter to write about how much he was enjoying working with Alley. "Kirstie is trying really hard to impress me! I must admit... I'm impressed!" Chmerkovskiy wrote on Twitter before adding, "Having an absolute blast at rehearsals... so far."
Alley will hit the ballroom floor along with reality star Kendra Wilkinson, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward, "Loveline" co-host and KROQ radio DJ Mike Catherwood, talk show host Wendy Williams, WWE wrestler Chris Jericho, former boxer Sugar Ray Leonard, rapper Romeo, the original "Karate Kid" star Ralph Macchio, "Jonas L.A." and "Fish Hooks" star Chelsea Kane and model Petra Nemcova.
"I don't know if I'm fearless but I'm crazy," the actress and reality star told OnTheRedCarpet.com. "I've done every genre there is, pretty much, TV, movies, things like that. I haven't really done dance or singing."
She jokes, "So 'Dancing With the Stars' first, then 'Singing With the Stars,' the show that I'm going to produce. It's gonna be a huge hit. Duets. With pros and stars."
The actress is known for her roles in the "Look Who's Talking" films as well as her work on "Cheers," "Veronica's Closet," and "Fat Actress." Alley starred in a 2010 reality show called "Kirstie Alley's Big Life."
