Kirstie Alley on Maksim Chmerkovskiy: women love androgynous men (Video)
Kirstie Alley gushed over her "Dancing With The Stars" partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy's rocker costume, saying if she were younger, she would go be "so on him."
"I would be so on him, like white on rice, if he was in my graduating class," Alley told OTRC.com after the October 8 episode of the reality dancing competition. "This would be my boyfriend. I'm just saying."
Alley, 61, appears on the series with Chmerkovskiy, her original partner from season 12. On Monday's premiere, they received 24 out of 30 points for their cha cha, to the song, "Moves Like Jagger," which was previously performed by Carson Kressley in season 12.
"It was really weird the whole week," Chmerkovskiy said. "She really embraced it and I was wondering, I thought she really liked the cha cha, but nope, it was this image."
"I like rock stars.... I love Lenny Kravitz, love, love, love. Love Jagger," Alley said, telling her partner, "You look so good! The word of the week: androgynous. He looks androgynous and women love androgynous men because you just don't quite know which way they bat. I'm just saying. but you have to bring over to your side so you have to work at it."
Chmerkovskiy was not as excited about his new look and told OTRC.com that it did make him appreciate the efforts women put in to their appearance.
"I've gotta give a lot of credit to women because eye make-up sucks. This is the worst thing I've ever put [on] in my life. I don't wear a lot of makeup to begin with, but it hurts everywhere... I will four inch heel all day, every day over eye makeup."
On Monday's episode of "Dancing With The Stars," the contestants re-interpreted iconic routines from past years and were also given control of the "artistic vision" of the routine. Check out a recap and gallery from the show.
Alley was tied with Drew Lachey for second-to-last place on the leader board, ahead of Bristol Palin. The actress, who is the oldest contestant of the season, said she is depending on fans to stay in the competition.
"I just have to say to our fans, 'Save us!'" Alley said. "I just watched Shawn [Johnson] dance and I just have to say, "really?" I mean, I go, "ooh, if I was 20." Well, if I was 20, I still wouldn't be doing that."
