Kirstie Alley is 'way too chicken' for 'Dancing With the Stars'

While rumors of the next Dancing With the Stars cast kicks into high gear before the shows official announcement on Aug. 30, one star is shooting down any possibility of hitting the ballroom floor.

"Imagine that. NOT doing DWTS this season, Kirstie Alley wrote on her official Twitter page Thursday. Way too chicken!! Maybe next season if Im invited again!!!"

People reported to be contestants include Bristol Palin, the 19-year-old daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, David Hasselhoff, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino from MTV's raunchy reality show Jersey Shore, Audrina Patridge of MTV reality show The Hills, which ended in July and singers Brandy and Michael Bolton.

Dirty Dancing and Ferris Bueller's Day Off actress Jennifer Grey, Brady Bunchmatriarch Florence Henderson, NFL stars Troy Aikman and Kurt Warner and Lindsay Lohan, who recently ended jail and rehab stints, have also been named.

Dancing With the Stars' network, ABC, has refused to comment on the cast reports and says an official announcement about who will appear on the show will be made on Aug. 30 during an episode of its dating series Bachelor Pad, which airs at 8 p.m. ET.

"Tom and I know nothing," co-host Brooke Burke told OnTheRedCarpet.com in a satellite interview. "They keep it very hush hush, or else Tom and I would tell everybody and then everybody would know."
