Kim Kardashian talks baby names, pregnancy on 'Tonight Show': 5 highlights
Pregnant Kim Kardashian continues the baby talk as she promotes her new film role, in "Tyler Perry's Temptation," and recently gave one of her most candid interviews yet -- to Jay Leno.
The 32-year-old reality star, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend and rapper Kanye West, appeared on an episode of "The Tonight Show" on Thursday night and talked about her family's reactions to her pregnancy, her weight gain, media criticism of her maternity fashion and other topics. Check out 5 highlights.
1. She was "nervous" about telling sister Khloe Kardashian Odom.
Khloe and husband Lamar Odom have been trying to have a baby of their own and she has talked about her fertility issues on their spin-off show, "Khloe & Lamar."
"I had Kourtney come with me to tell Khloe," Kim told Leno. "'Cause I was a little nervous to tell Khloe. Because I know she really, really, really wants a baby so I just, I felt like I'm going to need some moral support to tell her and she was so happy but I was really nervous to tell her and she kind of got mad that I was nervous, thought it was ridiculous."
2. There is only one baby.
"So it's twins?" Leno asked.
I know I'm big but it's not two," Kim said, laughing. "I'm not that big, hopefully."
3. Will Kim's baby's name also start with a K? Maybe.
"We have a list and some of them are "K" names, some of them aren't. You know what name I do like but it probably won't be on ... I like Easton. Easton West," Kim joked. "You never know. Boy's names are good for girls. I think it's cute."
4. Will we get to watch Kim giving birth on TV?Footage of Kourtney's delivery of her second child, daughter Penelope, aired on an episode of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
"We did it on a camcorder and then she decided it was such a beautiful experience, she gave that to the show for them to use," Kim told Leno. "I don't even think I'll have a camcorder. I don't know if I want that experience. From how my pregnancy has been so different than Kourtney's, I'm praying to God my delivery is not different, 'cause hers seemed really easy and calm, but I just don't know if I would ever want that as a memory. I don't know. I might change my mind."
5. Kim reads people's comments about her expanding figure and isn't cool with the "bully-ish" comments.
In recent weeks, Kim has been photographed by the paparazzi wearing a slew of different outfits, including high heels. The reality star has been criticized by many people online about her maternity fashion.
"I think it's a little bully-ish to call a pregnant woman fat. I mean what do you expect?" she told Leno. "I mean I've always been curvy and I've always embraced my curves and I love 'em, and now there's just more to love. I mean I have the rest of my life to be skinny and to lose weight and I'm not really worrying about it. If I have a craving, I'll go for it."
"I obviously want to be healthy for the baby and for myself so I'm not overdoing it," she added. "But I think it's kind of mean, just all the comments I see, whether it's, 'She's wearing heels!' That makes me feel good and sexy, at least, being heavier. So if I feel good, my baby will feel good."
Kim talked about her choice of wearing high heels while pregnant on another recent interview, on ABC's "Good Morning America," and also revealed that she has not experienced morning sickness. Check out more details from her interview.
