Kim Kardashian had a New Year resolution of being single in 2011, but her plan was dashed after she met her new boyfriend Kris Humphries.

"I wanted to be [single], but when you meet someone worth it, it's worth giving it up," Kardashian, 30, told OnTheRedCarpet.com at Elton John's Oscar after-party on Sunday. "I'm a relationship kind of girl."

The "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star and her new beau have been linked together since about December 2010.

@KimKardashian my baby likes bball now," Humphries wrote on his Twitter page on Monday, February 28.

Kardashian told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show that Humphries, a 26-year-old NBA basketball player who plays for the New Jersey Nets, "let's me be me."

In 2010, Kim ended her three-year relationship with New Orleans Saints halfback Reggie Bush, dated Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Miles Austin, and is said to have had a brief fling with model Gabriel Aubry, actress Halle Berry's ex-boyfriend, although the two have not confirmed a relationship.

Kardashian told E! News last year she was not looking to date another pro-football player.
