The new series is set to debut in January and will focus on the sisters' effort to launch a new shop for their DASH clothing line.

"I could not be more excited to spend the next couple of months in one of my favorite cities!" Kim Kardashian, 29, wrote on her blog. "When we decided to open a new DASH store in the city, Kourt and I felt that someone needed to be here to help out with the store and make sure everything was running smoothly."

She said that after speaking with her family, she decided she would join Kourtney Kardashian, 31, her boyfriend Scott and their 9-month-old son Mason in New York.

"Not only do I get to spend some quality time with Kourt, I also get to hang out with Masey as much as I want," Kim Kardashian said. "I can't imagine being away from him for so long! Well be filming the show over the next couple of months and capturing all the fun and drama that will no doubt unfold along the way. Get ready NYC ... Kim and Kourtney are in town!!!"

Keeping Up With the Kardashians premiered in 2007 and showcases the lives of Kim Kardashian's life with her Los Angeles socialite family, including sisters Khloe and Kourtney, mother Kris Jenner and stepfather, Olympic champion and TV personality Bruce Jenner. A Keeping Up With the Kardashians spinoff called Kourtney and Khloé Take Miami, debuted in 2009.
