Kim Kardashian OK after scare, Khloe says 'mommy and baby' doing fine
Kim Kardashian is "doing fine" following her highly-publicized health scare, according to her sister Khloe Kardashian Odom.
The 32-year-old reality star, who is expecting her first child with rapper Kanye West, made headlines recently for a reported pregnancy scare. Some outlets, such as the New York Post, stated that the starlet thought she was suffering a miscarriage.
Khloe took to social media to update Kim's fans on her condition.
"Thank you for your concern," Khloe posted on her official Twitter account, with a link to the following statement.
"A lot of you have expressed concern in the recent hours about Kim, and I just wanted to let you all know that mommy and baby are doing fine and just taking it easy right now," Khloe posted on her official blog. "Thank you so much to all of our wonderful fans and loved ones for your concern and support. We love you!"
The report published by the New York Post quoted an unnamed source as saying that "Kim started feeling ill on the plane from Paris, and called friends as soon as she landed." It goes on to say that she was "rushed to her doctor Tuesday night in tears - she thought she was having a miscarriage."
Kim is known for her busy and hectic schedule, as documented in her numerous reality shows and on her social media accounts. The personality is reportedly on "doctor-ordered rest," according to E! Online, who cites her divorce, working a lot and moving as putting a physical strain on the reality star.
Kim announced the news of her pregnancy on December 31, adding that she was looking forward to "starting a family" with West. She went on to say that the pair "feel blessed and lucky." One day prior, the rapper spilled the beans about their announcement while performing to a crowd in Atlantic City.
On February 20, the reality star did her first pregnant photo shoot for Dujour magazine's Spring issue, but the article drew in equal attention for its claims that she may soon depart "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."
In its article about Kim, Dujour claims, "After season 9 [of 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians'], she says, she's done."
"Keeping Up With The Kardashians" is currently filming its eighth season and Kim denied the magazine's claims in a blog post on her official website on February 20.
"I know that many of you have read the Dujour Magazine interview I just did. In the article, I was asked about continuing on with 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians.' As everyone knows, we are extremely proud of the show and all of us are staying on through at least season 10," Kim wrote. "The show remains to be my number 1 priority and it's a big part of my life and I enjoy every moment of it."
