Kendall and Kylie Jenner discuss Seventeen magazine correspondent gig
Over the weekend, Kendall and Kylie Jenner talked to OnTheRedCarpet.com about their Seventeen magazine correspondent gig, the first red carpet in their honor and their favorite sister to steal clothes from.
"I think we steal each other's clothes more, but we borrow our other sister's clothes. We are always in each other's closets," Kendall Jenner told OnTheRedCarpet.com at their Seventeen magazine cover party. "I think [we borrow from] Kourtney [Kardashian the most]. We take a lot of her clothes because she's really generous and she just gives it to us."
Kendall, 16, and Kylie, 14, not only appear on the September cover of Seventeen magazine, they've also been named West Coast Fashion Contributors.
"We are the West Coast Contributors, so we will pretty much just contribute what we think will be in that month or what we think is trending, or what we personally like and think is in-style," Kylie told OnTheRedCarpet.com. "So, we talk about that."
The youngest of the Kardashian clan recently attracted more fans than their famous big sisters, when over 1,000 people attended an event where the pair signed copies of their issue of Seventeen magazine.
"I didn't think that was possible for us. I didn't think we could do that, but we did! It's pretty amazing. It's very awesome," Kendall told OnTheRedCarpet.com.
"Over a thousand people here at Barnes and Noble for Kylie and I!!! wowww," Kendall Jenner Tweeted on August 2. "The fire marshal wanted to shut us down, now we know it's a party!"
Their mother and manager, Kris Jenner didn't take all the credit for her children's success, she said that her daughters have a strong work ethic which has aided them in their success.
"If you would have told me as a teenager that I would have been on the cover of Seventeen magazine, I would have died and gone to heaven, so I hope they know how special and important this is, but I think I attribute it to their work ethic and the way that they handle themselves," Kris Jenner told OnTheRedCarpet.com.
"Bruce and I talked about it many, many years ago, that our goal was to have our family - every family member find what you love to do in your life, find what makes you happy," Jenner said of her plan for her family. "And this makes them very happy - they love this stuff! Kendall loves to model and Kylie wants to be an actress, they're writing a book right now and they're doing so many different things that I would have only dreamed about doing, so for them to be able to follow that dream and do what it is that they love, makes me really happy and proud, I'm really proud of them!"
The high school students not only have a Seventeen magazine gig and appear regularly on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," they also have a young adult book in the works, which will reportedly be a science fiction story, "set 200 years in the future."
When asked whether they planned to follow their Kardashian sister's footsteps in building a fashion empire, Kendall said, "That would be amazing and it's obviously something that we would love to do, but we'll just see what happens!"
