Kelsey Grammer wants sole custody of his children with ex-wife Camille

05/17/2011 by Kristina Lopez

Kelsey Grammer is seeking sole physical custody of his two children with ex-wife Camille Grammer, according to court documents obtained by OnTheRedCarpet.com.

According to the paperwork, which was filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, the request was filed on May 12 and says the actor wants physical custody of Mason 9, and Jude, 6. His ex-wife will be allowed to have custody of the children during their summer break for the month of July, as well as time during their Thanksgiving break from school and the first half of their winter break.

"A friend of Camille's speculated on the audaciousness of Kelsey's actions - to literally abandon his wife and children for a year, move 3,000 miles a way, impregnate another woman when he was still married and then ask for custody? Camille is an amazing mother and the kids are where they belong and want - to be with her," Camille Grammer's attorney said in a statement obtained by OnTheRedCarpet.com.

Kelsey Grammer wants the new custody agreement to begin on July 2, records show.

The actor's spokesperson told OnTheRedCarpet.com: "Any statement would be inappropriate. The filing speaks for itself."

The couple finalized their divorce in February. Grammer, 56, and Camille Grammer, a 46-year-old former Playboy model who appears on Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," married in 1997. She filed for divorce in July 2010.

Shortly afterwards, Grammer married Kayte Walsh, a 29-year-old British flight attendant on stage at the Longacre Theatre in New York, where the actor starred in a revival of the musical "La Cage aux Folles."

Kelsey Grammer has been married a total of three times before. He was married to dance instructor Doreen Alderman from 1982 to 1990 and they have one daughter, Spencer, who stars in the ABC Family comedy series "Greek". Grammer and former stripper Leigh-Anne Csuhany were married from 1992 to 1993 and have no children. During this time, he had a daughter, Greer, out of wedlock.

Aside from playing the title role of a radio therapist on "Frasier", a part he originated on the 1980s series "Cheers", Kelsey Grammer also starred on the show "Hank" in 2009, played Beast in the movie "X-Men: The Last Stand" and voices the psychopath Sideshow Bob on the animated sitcom "The Simpsons".
