Kelly Clarkson talks baby names, morning sickness (Video)
Kelly Clarkson recently told Ellen DeGeneres that she and her husband have a baby name picked out and that her pregnancy isn't going as smoothly as some other women she has talked to.
The former "American Idol" winner announced in November she was expecting her first child with husband Brandon Blackstock and in an interview on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" set to air on Friday, Dec. 6, Clarkson promised the name she chooses for her child is not going to be a unique celebrity baby name. Video of her appearance can be seen below.
"I just want to know [the gender of the baby] and it doesn't even matter 'cause like honestly the name we've picked we're -- if it's a boy or a girl, it's the same name," Clarkson said.
"You won't guess it. It's like a random name. It's not like, you know, some weird famous person [name] that's going to be like Blue Jazz," she added. "It's not gonna be like [a] weird name."
Clarkson also talked about her rough time with morning sickness.
"It is so upsetting when I ask women 'cause they'll be like, 'Oh I had ... you're gonna love this...' and I'm like, 'Oh, were you sick the first ...?' and they're like, 'No!' and I want to like hit all of them with my car," Clarkson joked. "I vomit a good dozen times a day. Like, it's like bad."
"That's the thing too, you're not attractive when you're pregnant," she added. "Everybody tells you like, 'You glow and your hair is pretty and your nails are pretty.' That is total crap. My nails are short, my hair still falls out, it's not all lush and beautiful and I have no glow -- unless it's something left over from a bathroom trip 'cause it's horrible."
Clarkson, who released her holiday album "Wrapped in Red" on Oct. 25, was on the show to promote her holiday special "Kelly Clarkson's Cautionary Christmas Music Tale," airing on Dec. 11 on NBC. Earlier this month she released the music video for her song "Underneath the Tree."
Clarkson and her husband tied the knot in a private ceremony at Blackberry Farms in Tennessee on Oct. 20.
