Kelly Clarkson took to her official Twitter account to make a big announcement on Saturday, December 15.
"I'M ENGAGED!!!!! I wanted y'all to know!! Happiest night of my life last night," she wrote. "I am so lucky and am with the greatest man ever :)"
Clarkson later posted a photo of her engagement ring, which can be viewed below, on her WhoSay page with the caption, "Everyone has been asking about my engagement ring, so here it is :) It's a yellow canary diamond with diamonds around it and Brandon designed it with Johnathon Arndt! They did an amazing job! I can't wait to make Brandon's ring with Johnathon as well!"
Clarkson, 30, has been dating Brandon Blackstock, a 35-year-old Nashville-based talent manager, since late 2011. Blackstock is the son of Clarkson's manager Narvel Blackstock, who is currently married to singer Reba McEntire, according to People magazine. Brandon Blackstock is McEntire's step-son.
This will be the first marriage for Clarkson. In August, Clarkson told the magazine, "I'm just super happy right now."
"One of my favorite things is we're both in the business," the first "American Idol" winner said. "He gets my job and he gets how busy it can get, and he gets the sacrifices that we both have to make with our jobs."
Clarkson, a Texas native, won the first season of "American Idol" back in 2002. She recently released a greatest hits compilation album called "Greatest Hits - Chapter One" in November.
Earlier this month, the singer was nominated for four Grammy Awards including Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)." She also got a nod for Best Pop Vocal Album for "Stronger."
Clarkson will next appear on television with "American Idol" season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert for the "VH1 Divas" concert. "VH1 Divas" is set to celebrate current and classic dance music and will include performers like Miley Cyrus, Jordin Sparks, Demi Lovato, Ciara and Kelly Rowland as well as Clarkson.
"VH1 Divas," is also set to pay homage to the late dance music legends Whitney Houston and Donna Summer and will air live on Sunday, December 16 at 9 p.m. ET.
