Kellie Pickler's husband, Kyle Jacobs, says he is proud of her for competing -- and winning "Dancing With The Stars," adding that she is a "little warrior."

Pickler, a 26-year-old former "American Idol" finalist and country singer, and partner Derek Hough were awarded the Mirror Ball Trophy on the season 16 finale of the ABC ballroom dancing competition series on Tuesday, May 21. The "Dancing With The Stars" season 16 finale took place on Tuesday, May 21, and one out of four celebrity finalists was awarded the Mirror Ball Trophy after 10 weeks of performances. Spoiler alert!

On Monday, the remaining four celebrities left in the ABC ballroom competition series -- "American Idol" alum Kellie Pickler, "Shake It Up!" actress Zendaya, Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman and NFL star Jacoby Jones -- performed three dances with their partners, including a Cha Cha Cha relay. The two won the ABC show. It was Hough's fourth such victory.

OTRC.com caught up with Pickler and Hough on Monday after their performances and Hough said that even if the two don't win the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy, the experience of working with Pickler during the season was enough of a reward.

When Kellie Pickler competed on the fifth season of "American Idol," she finished in sixth place. Now, the singer is one of the front-runners who might take home the Mirror Ball Trophy for the 16th season of "Dancing With The Stars."

Pickler and her partner Derek Hough are set to perform three dances on Monday, May 20, including a Cha Cha relay and a "supersized" Freestyle routine. The contestants will also have to perform a new routine to a dance style that will be picked by the judges.
