Kellie Pickler of 'American Idol' marries Kyle Jacobs

Kellie Pickler, an "American Idol" alum and country singer, recently married longtime boyfriend Kyle Jacobs, a songwriter, after more than two years of dating.

Pickler, 24, and Jacobs, 37, tied the knot in a small ceremony on a Caribbean island on January 1. The two became engaged in June.

"Yes, it's true, @kylecjacobs and I said "I Do!" Thank you Jesus!" Pickler said on her Twitter page.

Pickler came in sixth place on "American Idol" during the FOX singing contest show's fifth season in 2006. She has since released two albums and several hit singles, such as "Best Days of Your Life" in 2008.
