Kellan Lutz of 'Twilight': I'll win an Oscar one day
Kellan Lutz, who portrays Emmett Cullen in the "Twilight Saga," says he sees an Academy Award in his future.
"I want to act for the rest of my life. I'll win an Oscar one day, but I'm in no rush to get there," Lutz told DuJour magazine. "I don't care if that takes me 50 years, and I'm old. I just love what I do."
The 27-year-old actor told the magazine that he is excited to "graduate" from the "Twilight" movies, but he denies that the instantaneous fame has affected him.
"I don't go home and act like I'm God's gift to the world or anything. I'm still Kellan," Lutz continued. "And I'm so appreciative of every opportunity that I've had."
Of his "Twilight" co-stars, Anna Kendrick is the only star to have received an Oscar-nod for her role in "Up in the Air" and Michael Sheen has appeared in several Oscar-nominated and Oscar-winning films like "The Queen," "Midnight in Paris" and "Frost/Nixon."
Aside from the vampire franchise, Lutz has also appeared in films like "Immortals," "Prom Nights," "A Nightmare on Elm Street," "A Warrior's Heart" and "Love, Wedding, Marriage."
Following the release of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2" on November 16, Lutz will appear in "Java Heat" opposite Rourke. The film follows an American in Indonesia who joins forces with a police officer to track down a terrorist.
