Katy Perry to guest-star on 'How I Met Your Mother' on Monday - see spoilers
Katy Perry will guest star on "How I Met Your Mother" on Monday, February 7 to eventually get seduced by Neil Patrick Harris' character.
"I just did it basically because I'm obsessed with Neil Patrick Harris," Perry told Rolling Stone in January. "He's really sweet, and the cast on the show was really nice to me and forgiving of my bad acting skills."
Warning: spoiler alert! In Perry's cameo, she plays Zoey's (Jennifer Morrison) cousin who is so naive that the "How I Met Your Mother" crew dubs her "Honey." Zoey sets up Honey with the show's main character, Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) but Ted can't make a move because he realizes he's in love with Zoey, the married activist who became Ted's nemesis and eventual friend in recent episodes. Naturally, womanizer Barney Stinson (Neil Patrick Harris) steps in to put the moves on Perry's character.
Past celebs who have appeared on the hit CBS show include Spencer Pratt, Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Carrie Underwood and Britney Spears.
Perry was in Mexico City over the weekend, promoting her new frangrance, Purr. The fragrance is Perry's first scent and follows the recent launch of crackly black nail polish she collaborated on with OPI.
The chart-topping pop singer got married to comedian Russell Brand on October 23. In December, she revealed on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that she's in the process of taking Brand's last name.
Brand will be hosting 'Saturday Night Live' on February 12, there is no word yet on whether Perry will make an appearance on the live sketch show.
The show will air on Monday, February 7 at 7 p.m. ET on CBS. Watch the promo video below!
