Comedian Katt Williams is set to appear in court Tuesday after being arrested in Palmdale, Calif. over the weekend for false imprisonment, OnTheRedCarpet.com has confirmed.
Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies said a man doing tractor work at a home where Williams was staying was attacked by three women who threw wooden sticks and rocks at him. They said when the man tried to leave, Williams blocked him in with an SUV.
Williams, 39, was arrested on Saturday at 4:40 p.m. local time. He was released several hours later after posting $50,000 bail. He has not commented.
Authorities also arrested the three women. It's not clear what prompted the alleged attack.
Williams is known for his role as Money Mike in the film "Friday After Next." He has appeared on TV shows, including "Nick Cannon Presents: Wild 'N Out," "The Tracy Morgan Show," "My Wife and Kids" and "NYPD Blue."
