Katie Holmes film prompts walkouts at Sundance Film Festival
Katie Holmes' acting career just hit another stumbling block. After a recent screening at the Sundance Film Festival of Katie Holmes' latest film, "The Son of No One," reports surfaced that several industry insiders and audience members walked out during film well before the credits rolled.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, one audience member even attempted to start applause once the film finished but not a single person joined in.
The film, which also features performances by Al Pacino, Channing Tatum and Ray Liotta, is a gritty crime drama that takes place in New York. Holmes plays the wife of Tatum's cop character.
The incident comes after the eight-part miniseries "The Kennedys," where Holmes stars former first lady Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, was canceled by the History Channel and has not been able to find another network to air the series in the United States.
Holmes is currently filming "Jack and Jill" with Adam Sandler and Al Pacino.
