Katherine Jenkins talks about her perfect score on 'Dancing With The Stars' (Video)

05/21/2012 by Olivia Allin

Katherine Jenkins is heading into the "Dancing With The Stars" finale with a perfect score of 60 points.

The Welsh classical singer and her partner Mark Ballas received perfect points for their Paso Doble and '20's themed Freestyle.

"Actually that's our first perfect score," Jenkins told OnTheRedCarpet.com following her performance. "So that's why we were jumping around like lunatics because we've never had a ten from Len, and so to get two in finale night is just oh my gosh!"

Jenkins will return for Tuesday night's finale to perform a Jive in a bid to take home the Mirror Ball Trophy. Meanwhile, Driver and Levy will bring their A-games, dancing the Cha Cha and the Salsa, respectively.

The singer opened the freestyle showing off her vocal skills before dancing a high-energy swing dancing routine. While it took a lot of energy, Jenkins was happy to put in the work for her partner.

"I have to say I am pretty relieved now, because really, you know we worked so hard. Mark choreographed such a great, fun routine and mostly I just think, I didn't want to let you down," Jenkins told her partner. "I wanted to get it good for all the hard work you put into it so I'm happy."

Ballas was equally relieved, but knows that now that their work is mostly done, the choice of who goes home is in the hands of the viewers.

"It's a bittersweet thing. We've all done the best that we could and I feel like Katherine and I did the best thing we did, we could tonight," Ballas said. "We did the best we could, we walked on that floor and got the best scores that we could possibly get, and you know it's in the hands of fans now. We're just grateful to make it this far and you know, we'll see how it goes tomorrow."

The three finalists seemed equally surprised to be competing in the finale, having beat out the likes of Maria Menounos, Jaleel White and Roshon Fegan.

Jenkins said, "I didn't expect to even be here so um yeah it feels pretty amazing."
