Kate Moss taps John Galliano to design wedding dress for upcoming nuptials
Kate Moss has asked head Christian Dior designer John Galliano to design her wedding dress for her upcoming nuptials to her rock star boyfriend, Jamie Hince, according to The London Times.
Moss announced at a recent dinner for the British retail company Topshop that her friend Galliano will take the honors of designing her dress, but the super model remained mum on what she'll be doing for her bachelorette party.
Designer Vivienne Westwood, who is also a long-time friend, thought that Moss might design her own dress since she hadn't asked Westwood.
"No, I think she's designing it herself," Westwood told the UK's Daily Mail. "She has done her own fashion range and she knows about clothes. She knows what she is doing, she doesn't need my help. Kate is a mate. I've known her for years and I'm really happy for her."
Moss designed a clothing line for Topshop and has designed purses for luxury brand Longchamp.
Moss met Hince, 40, in 2007, he is the frontman for the band The Kills. The couple plans on getting married on July 2, 2011. Moss has an 8-year-old daughter from her previous relationship to film editor Jefferson Hack.
