Jessica Biel said that the highly-anticipated "girl fight" between herself and Kate Beckinsale in "Total Recall" does not have any of the pseudo-sexual undertones that often accompanies such cinematic events.
"I think its fun to see women in a position of power that is absolutely not pseudo-sexual whatsoever - it's completely gender neutral," Biel told OnTheRedCarpet.com in a recent junket interview. "It's just able, capable, talented warriors, basically, going at each other and that is why it's so cool, because it really is just strong and exciting and I think as a woman, it makes you feel empowered."
Jessica Biel and Kate Beckinsale both chose chic nude-colored dresses for the recent photo call for "Total Recall" remake on July 28 in Los Angeles.
Biel, 30, chose to wear a sleeveless sequined top and lace skirt by Oscar De La Renta and finished off her look with light pink Brian Atwood platform pumps. She also accessorized her look with gold bangles.
Kate Beckinsale, who is set to star in the upcoming "Total Recall" remake, told Allure magazine that she did not feel attractive until she was 29-years-old.
"Feeling attractive didn't come until I was 29 and with [my husband] Len [Wiseman]. Maybe it has to do with not having had a dad," Beckinsale, whose father died when she was 5-years-old, told Allure for their August cover story. "I'd never experienced a father saying, 'Oh, you look good.' If you have a good relationship with your dad, you have a chaperone in your own mind. I love my stepfather, but it's different with a stepfather. I probably waited until I had that feeling with somebody who was so madly attracted to me that I could sort of relax and aim it at him."
Kate Beckinsale, who is set to star in the upcoming "Total Recall" remake, donned a bikini on the July cover of Women's Health magazine and revealed that she hasn't always been fit.
"I wasn't particularly athletic," Beckinsale told Women's Health of her childhood. "No one ever thought, 'I must have Kate on my team.'"
Colin Farrell takes over Arnold Schwarzenegger's old role and breaks out the big guns in a 2012 reboot of "Total Recall," whose trailer has been released online.
The original science fiction movie was released in 1990 and starred Schwarzenegger as Doug Quaid, a factory worker who suspects his memories may have been implanted and that he is actually a spy. Check out the trailer for the new "Total Recall" film.
Kate Beckinsale was taxed with the difficult challenge of training for "Underworld: Awakening" while filming "Contraband" in New Orleans, one of the nation's foodie capitals and told OnTheRedCarpet.com it was not a fun task.
"The whole time I was preparing for 'Underworld,' I was actually shooting 'Contraband,' so New Orleans is a wonderful city, but it's not the most fantastic place to get in shape because we want to go try those beignets and all those wonderful things," Beckinsale told OnTheRedCarpet.com in a satellite interview to promote "Contraband."
