Kat Von D, Jesse James are engaged again
Kat Von D and Jesse James have reconciled and are engaged again, weeks after announcing they had split and called off plans to marry.
"Sometimes you are only given one chance in life," People magazine, which carried the report on Thursday, quoted James as saying. "It was up to me to open my eyes and see it. That girl is my chance. I will never stop fighting and striving to hold on to her. Showing her how special she is, and how much I love her."
The magazine also said that Von D is wearing her engagement ring again.
The news comes hours after the cable network TLC announced that it would stop airing Von D's reality show, "LA Ink" in September, more than four years after its debut.
Von D, 28, and James, the 42-year-old ex-husband of actress Sandra Bullock, became engaged earlier this year. In late July, she confirmed the two called it quits.
But on Thursday, just after TLC made its announcement about "LA Ink," Von D and James posted cryptic but affectionate online messages to one another, with some containing photos of the two embracing and kissing. It was unclear when they were taken.
Von D has said that her high profile relationship with James, who admitted to cheating on Bullock while they were married, caused a lot of "turmoil" with friends and family.
"LA Ink" is depicted the Von D's life as a tattoo artist in Los Angeles. Its ratings have dropped over the past year.
Von D reacted to the news on Twitter, saying: "I love how me deciding to not continue doing 'LA Ink,' turns into being 'canceled.' Thanks @TLC. Regardless of everything I remain grateful."
