Kanye West won't face charges in photographer incident
Kanye West will not face charges in an alleged battery case against a celebrity photographer, who verbally attacked the rapper's fiancee, reality star Kim Kardashian, OTRC.com has confirmed..
About two weeks ago, Kardashian was walking in Beverly Hills while being following by paparazzi. A man tried to help her get inside a building and hurled racial and anti-gay slurs at the photographers, which Kardashian told him was inappropriate. He then allegedly insulted her and West, who later reportedly got physical with him. Police had said that they were notified about a suspected misdemeanor battery incident connected with the incident.
The Los Angeles District Attorney's office confirmed in a statement obtained by OTRC.com on Friday, Jan. 31, that it is not pursuing charges against West.
West is already facing charges of misdemeanor battery and attempted grand theft, which stem from a scuffle with a member of the paparazzi in 2013. The hip hop singer pleaded not guilty in November. Each charge carries a maximum penalty of six months in jail.
