"I know yall need the music so I'm dropping 1 new song every weekend until Xmas. I'm calling it good Fridays," West recently wrote on his Twitter page.

He added that the songs he releases may be his or a track by another artist, such as Jay-Z. West recently posted on his blog a remix of his single "Power," which features Jay-Z and Swizz Beatz (Warning: Lyrics contain explicit language). He also recently worked on a remix of teen pop singer Justin Bieber's song "Runaway Love" with Raekwon.

"I just tried to sing the first notes of Runaway Love and when my voice cracked, had to remember I don't sing that good," West Tweeted on August 15. "GODBLESSAUTOTUNE. Will your Itunes break if you play a song to many times????????!!!!!!!!!!! Runaway Loooooooooooooove!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

West has said he plans to release his fifth studio album on September 14 and debuted verses from three new songs from it, including one titled "Mamas Boyfriend", in front of Facebook employees at their headquarters in Palo Alto, California on July 27. He also later performed at Twitter's headquarters.

West is also preparing to perform at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards ceremony, which is set to air live on September 12 at 9 p.m. ET, despite an incident last year in which he ambushed Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech for Best Female Video.
