Kaley Cuoco of 'The Big Bang Theory' ends engagement
Kaley Cuoco, one of the stars of the CBS show "The Big Bang Theory," has ended her engagement to Josh "Lazie" Resnik.
The 26-year-old actress was asked about her co-star Kunal Nayyar's recent wedding and whether it inspired her own wedding plans, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Thursday and had a surprising response.
"I'm not engaged anymore, so no," Cuoco told ET. "But in general, yes. For my future wedding, yes!"
The actress revealed her engagement to Resnik, an addiction specialist, in October 2011. The pair never announced a wedding date.
Cuoco recently hosted the 2011 Teen Choice Awards on Aug. 7, 2011.
The actress is one of the cast members of "The Big Bang Theory," which depicts the quirky lives of young, nerdy physicists. Cuoco portrays their neighbor Penny, who works at the Cheesecake Factory and often helps the physicists with their love lives.
"The Big Bang Theory" was nominated for a 2012 Screen Actors Guild award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series. In January 2011, it was announced that the show would be renewed for at least three more seasons and will run until at least 2014.
Cuoco revealed in September 2010 that she had secretly dated her "Big Bang Theory" co-star Johnny Galecki, 35, for two years. The two also dated on the series.
Cuoco rose to fame portraying John Ritter's daughter on the comedy series, "8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter." She also appeared in the final season of the supernatural drama series "Charmed." Her film credits include "Lucky 13," "The Penthouse" and "Hop."
Kunal Nayyar, who plays Raj Koothrappali, married Neha Kapur in December of last year. Simon Helberg, who portrays Howard Wolowitz, 31, on the comedy series is expecting his first child with wife Jocelyn Towne, the actor's rep confirmed to OnTheRedCarpet.com on January 27.
